Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Vocal Heirloom platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

Vocal Heirloom provides an AI-powered platform to create audio biographies ("Biopics"). We offer services using professional pre-recorded voices and custom voice cloning technology based on user-provided samples.

2. User Responsibilities & Voice Cloning Ethics

Strict Prohibition on Unauthorized Cloning: You agree to only upload voice samples for which you have explicit rights or consent.

• If the person is deceased, you warrant that you are the next of kin or have the authorization of the estate.
• If the person is living, you warrant that you have their explicit consent to clone their voice.

We reserve the right to demand proof of authorization via our identity verification process. Any use of our platform for deepfakes, impersonation, fraud, or harassment will result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities.

3. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of the stories, text, and voice samples you upload. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to process this content solely for the purpose of creating your Biopic.

Final Product: Upon full payment, you own the final generated MP3 audio file ("The Heirloom") and may share it for personal, non-commercial use.

4. Payments and Refunds

One-Time Payments: Our Biopics are sold as one-time purchases.

Refund Policy: Due to the custom, digital nature of our products:

• You may request a full refund before the AI generation process (Script or Audio) has started.
• Once the AI has generated the script or the final audio, no refunds can be issued, as computing costs have been incurred and the digital good has been delivered.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is." While we strive for the highest quality, AI generation (including voice cloning and script writing) can produce unpredictable results. We do not guarantee that the cloned voice will be a 100% perfect match to the original speaker, as quality depends heavily on the input audio provided.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vocal Heirloom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service or the loss of digital data.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. However, if you are a consumer residing in the United States or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those local laws may apply to certain aspects of this agreement.
